I have a quick off the topic question... How do you change your crackberry status? Mine says crackberry Newbie, but that is not the case, I can't seem to find where this can be changed... Anyone know?

I have to get them to reset it..once they do that it works fine. Kind of weird because I still have to use password to unlock phone, but once in the phone my "desktop" email is no longer there, only my personal email accounts.

Once you post enough, it changes it. Can't remember the numbers but once your past 100 post then your an Abuser. I think after 10, you become a User.

Hey bud...

Once you have 10 posts it changes to "user."

I think at 100 it changes to "abuser."

If you didn't see that when in DM, try going to my computer, *C* drive/program files/common files/research in motion/app loader/loader.exe

Double click it and it should start the wipe and load. Just make sure you have gone into add remove programs and uninstall any previous version of *Device* software first in control panel. This will install the new OS on your storm and bypasses the checking of upgrades from DM.

Camera is still my biggest gripe about the phone...browser is about the same for me...not much quicker...not having locking issues with key lock...was having a difficult time getting it to unlock...no freezing thus far...had an issue on .83 build...getting message alerts on the top of the screen (ie. txt and email alerts) however not getting them on the icon itself...though not a huge deal...just wish the camera was quicker...would love for the next build to have a way to disable auto focus...just want to point and shoot...not trying to take professional pics...all in all...this is progress.

I just completed the .85 update. It is/was my first leaked OS update. I'm not a BB n00b, but was scared to dabble in it before officially released. It was MUCH easier than I expected. It is a pretty straight forward process, should have done this earlier...

I just got my Storm yesterday w/ .75 and was excited when I saw this update so soon. As far as the changes, the accelerometer, it is definitely faster. And the pickup of the typing is also better. Haven't had time to play with everything yet. I barley still know how to completely use it....All is good so far...

I have downloaded the new leak, and ran it on my computer. But when I go to my DM and click check for new updates, the old OS comes up not the new one. Came someone please help, and I did look at the "Instructions: How to Upgrade Your BlackBerry's Operating System", but can't seem to get this to work for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Come on people. You cannot load the OS for a 9530 onto a 9500. But you can load the 9500's verison of .85 to the 9500.
