I had leaked 148 and my platform is 4.0.0.181. I am running BBcrackman Hybrid (Not sure if that has any affect). Is there any reason to possibly go back to .75 then to the official .148 from vzw to get the platform .203? Any drastic improvements?

I'd usually just do it but kinda swamped at work with people on vayca.

No there is real difference from bbcrackman to official 148. There is no need for you to downgrade as well unless you want to do a ota.

Just to clear this up my about screen says

"v4.7.0.148(Platform 4.0.0.181)"

it seems as though people on verizon with legit updates have

"v4.7.0.148(Platform 4.0.0.203)"

Not sure if this was a VZW specific build?

I would advise. Many have said that it doesn't matter and they don't check. But that was when .75 was the current os. I would downgrade to be on the safe side because even if the reps at the desk dont catch it the people at the factory who decide if its good enough for a referb may check and then they may charge you for your replacement because leaked os's may void warranty

It is a good idea because if you had a grumpy CSR that helps you, they just might tell that your storm just need to have a official os on it.

I agree a lot of threads discussing the same thing & same answer. However, why in the world would you even click on this thread given its title and your attitude towards the question? .148 is official now, why would he need to downgrade?

If you are on the 148 do not downgrade and then try to upgrade to the 148 official. They are the exact same thing. You are seriously asking for many more problems than its worth. You can lose data, brick your phone etc by trying to do this and you will end up where you started.....your phone running OS 148, platform 181 package 203. There will be nothing different at all

Checked it with my wifes curve and it works fine. went ahead and downgraded to 141 and still wont connect. downloading offical 148 now so i can take it to verizion.

And to all that replied with help Thanks. and to those who talked like im dumb . I read these threads every single day and 99.9% of the time find awsers that way. Im not quick to ask for help when i can find it on my own. In this case i needed a specific awnser. these threads used to be pretty friendly, not so much these days. to all those who like to talk ____.
