I've tested my Verizon phone with Speedtest and regularly get speeds of 1000 to 1500 kbps. Is this normal for 3G? Seems quite fast to me.

What speed SHOULD we be getting? Not complaining, just curious...

The program gives you an average when you run it and there is this thread too.

But it would seem you're about one order of magnitude faster than the average.

I don't get anywhere near that! I'm down around 400-500 download and the same for upload. I'm on Verizon, also.

Ditto..normally 4-500 DL and about 350-450 UL. These are in the suburbs of DFW, havent actually tested it in the heart of dallas yet where I'd imagine it should be faster.

When I'm at home my UL is still just as fast as outside/work but my dl is slower at about 300..odd but whateva!

Disappointed in the speeds but it works fine when browsing the inet so I guess who cares what the numbers say right?

I've tested it a few times and have gotten over 2500 three out of the four times in different cities- uploads are always around 350.

Im here in Dickinson ND. I called Verizon to see what service i specifically had, whether it was EVDO rev 0 or REV a. I was told everything is Rev A now, but i still get 150-250 average up and down. Once got around 350 but havent seen it since.
