Do you have podcaster or something like it? I know when it finishes a download of a podcast it will beep. It freaked me out for a while until I figured it out. It should also be in your profile settings under "other".

Thanks for your response. You really helped me out. I could not figure out why my phone beeped every time I plugged in the charger or headset. I didn't realize that I had turned event sounds "on". You think blackberry would put all controls for sound in one location.
every morning at 2am my storm makes a muffled beep sound.

Has anyone discovered the solution to this? I have the same problem with my 8800 and it's at exactly 2am every night. Sometimes I'm charging it, sometimes I'm not, but without fail at 2am I get two quick semi-muffled beeps -- the same I hear if I'm on the phone and someone else calls or the battery gets low.
No podcasts here, and as far as I know event noises are turned off (though I admit, I'm not entirely sure what that means).
