Can anyone else get *228 to work with .90? It just locks up my phone in a strange way so if I try my voicemail it says a call in progress and the green hard key no longer works for placing calls when over a contact???

Works for me. Try *22899. That bypassed having to press option 2. There is another thread on this as well.

Dialing *228 and selecting option 2 failed to update. I was prompted to call customer support for further help.

Dialing the *22899 worked like a charm.

Doesn't work for me either. I have tried *228, *22899, option 1, option 2... nothing works. I get the same recording directing me to customer service.

I don't know if it has to do with location, as I'm in a rather uneven signal area. Will try it later and advise. However, I never had this happen before .90.

I just tried and if I dial *228 option 2 or *22899 it works without a problem. I noticed that this problem started to come up for users after the merger with Alltel. A suggestion is to call up CS and tell them that you can't program or update your device PRL OTA. They might say it is because of the merger and something got change. They will probably have you change the Home SID under the CDMA programing screen (#000000) but only do this if they suggest it.

Worked like a charm for me. I am not having any of the issues people are complaining about with this OS. I haven't tried the camera yet because I never use it anyway. I actually have a camera that I use for taking pictures.

    Working great for me...

I tried both the *228 option 1 and *22899, the only issue I have is that the tone buttons seem to "stick"...

*** I had the same problem as well.. for some reason my blackberry with .90 - I dialed *228 and found out I was in AllTel coverage area, the call failed during the programming and I was left with a green dial button that didnt work as you described.

I just had to wipe my phone and re-install, once I get into a verizon coverage area tomorrow I'm going to *22899
