I've been waiting on this too...jumped on Lyricidal's .148 and i'm definitely sold, this hybrid is pretty great!

Haven't seen OOAC around these parts as of late. Not sure what he has been up to. Used his 141/5.0 hybrid for a bit, and it was a solid build. Using LY's 148/5.0 and couldn't be happier though.

Thanks for the kind words. After 148 came out I didn't see a reason to continue creating hybrids and decided to throw in the towel. However, as time has gone by, 148 has slowly begun to disappoint. Long story short, I'm back in the game baby!

After reading this thread I've decided to begin working on a new hybrid

One--dont be so foolish as to think there is going to be a build (any time soon) that necessitates your retirement from hybrid making. I have a feeling that even if the "gold code" did come out tomorrow, you would still make a better version than the official release in several ways. Dont stop making hybrids until there are no more leaks!!

Regardless if you continue to make Hybrids or not, don't become a ghost around these parts! Can't loose another helpful person around here (seeing as of late there are less and less of them, especially in the 9530/9000 forum ... ). I will be waiting to see your mad-creation my friend.

One. You are the man!! I am d/ling your new "test hybrid right now"---so I dont have to check the app modules, are you running any 5.0 in there or should I swap in lyric's 82 working 5.0 files? Or, do you think it works better with only 5.0 browser, as bbcm did in his hybrid? Or would you rather us test that and let u know? = )

This is 81 of the 82 5.0 files + 4 or 5 files from bbcmv6 (the files that didn't overwrite any of the 5.0 files) + some files from v4 of my hybrid all over 148 = made with love

Can you give a brief installation instructions for upgrading from your .132?

I have the file downloaded, just not exactly sure how to do the upgrade.

I created a folder called OS148 and extracted the files to the location shown below

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\OS148

If I go the the location below,
C: Program Files / Common Files / Research in Motion / Apploader.

Scroll to the bottom and erase the Vendor file.

Go back up and select loader. Will this do the installation properly?

One---are you referring to the zip from megaupload in your post in this thread? I installed it, and still saw the blue progress bar on startup, which I havent seen since i started installing 5.0 files...Is this correct, or did you recently change the files linked to the megaupload zip?

Correction 80 of the 82 files. replaced the startup file so you get the blue bar, and didn't add in the event log viewer.

yes they were removed
