Hi, I promised I searched this prior to asking... I got an unlocked Storm for Christmas and apparently the smooth guy who sold it to my husband switch the SD card to a 1GB. Should I buy one; other than capacity does it make a difference in the BB performance at all?

Nope, just capacity. If you don't plan on loading your phone up with photos, music and any other type of files that don't save to the device memory just keep the 1g.
