unplugged phone at 10:30, its 4:14 and i have 1 1/2 bars left, 2nd day in a row after the upgrade
Agree with you. My battery has been worse than it was with .132. In 4 hours of minimal use, it dropped 30%. I have been watching it last few days just to make sure I wasnt crazy, but it definitely goes through battery quicker. I have all the same apps on phone, nothing extra is open, in the exact same locations as I was on .132.

My battery life seems to be better as well. I haven't tried my extended 1800mah battery yet with .148 but I'm sure it will be pretty good since I used to get a day and a half with heavy usage on .141

i can go over 24 hours without needing to charge my battery, and i'm on it constantly as i use it as a replacement labtop and my camera is always on, and i'm on the phone alot since its my business line also, i only got to charge my phone for 30 minutes today because i forgot to put on charger, been up at on it since 6:30 this morning, i'm currently at 60% and its 3:30...so i prob started my day off with 75-80....

when i was runnig 141 i ended up buying a 2nd battery to keep on me, cause by 4pm, my phone would be at 10%.

i think people prob have their backscreen light on too high, i keep mine on the lowest and it doesnt even make a difference to me....

More than 24 hours and the phone is only down to 40% battery, that is with heavy use of sms and email. God I love this OS, though I can't really complain because even with .75 I had great battery life.

I found the first charge after I installed .148 was terrible, I was burning around 4% to 5% and hour and I dont use my phone too much during the day(high school teacher). But since the first charge on wed night I have seen about the same as .132, which is about 1.5 to 2% an hour. I have meterberry so thats where i get this info.

On .113 I could get about 2 full days of heavy usage. Now on .148 I can barely make it through the day with the same amount of usage.

Personally, I'd have to say .148 is by far the worst battery life I've ever had. And quite honestly it has been freezing on me constantly and just locks up randomly. I've been using it since it was leaked and I've done 4-5 battery pulls.

Signal strength is probably the best I've had, but it seems to be very jumpy. It'll fluctuate between full strength and all of a sudden drop to 0-2 bars then pop back up to full a few seconds later.

i think battery life is the most inconsistent thing on the storm i've ever experienced phone to phone (or battery to battery maybe?)

even more so than individuals app memory!

it's really strange how different some users' length of time on the phone can differ

Yeah, my batter life is fantastic on 148. For those who arent so lucky, try draining your battery all the way until phone shuts off (past point radio shuts off, continue to run music or somethng else till phone literally turns off). Then recharge fully and I have noticed a 20% increase in battery life after doing this

Try running it all the way down then recharging (as I explained above)...I talk 8-10k minutes a month and my phone makes it all day without a recharge...Yours should too!! Maybe try screen brightness of 60 (that works for me)

Whoa, thats a little much...How much do you talk on phone/ use internet or apps? That is a ridiculous amount of battery remaining with moderate usage or higher...

it could be a defective battery also...

i run mine pretty steadily all day and end the day around 30 or 40 usually then charge it up overnight of course

good point about the screen backlight jason...

there are a couple threads on here that pertain to preserving battery life...do a thread search and see if you can find them

i think the main ones were

    1) reduce backlight brighness/length of time on
    2) switch off 'global' service setting
