Yeah that isn't my experience... I'm on 30 hours, just went below 50% and that's with HEAVY data use and about 45 minutes of GPS directions in Google Maps.
Give it some time, OS's for some reason need a couple of days to get used to your phone or vice-versa.
yeah the same thing happened to me with .113, died middle of the day, the day after i upgraded, i have faith in .148, overall its a good os minus this issue

If it's draining that fast, regardless of OS "settling in time," my guess is that the data connection is being held open by an application keeping the radio always active. This is the usual cause for massive battery drain.
I've had .148 on for a few days now... So far looks great to me.
Unplugged at 7:30am and it's not 11:00am... Only 10% used.
Running baseOS (I've received over 45 emails already), and viigo + facebook and ubertwitter.
I find mostly battery drain can be tracked to apps which constantly poll for something (early on Weatherbug was a total drain)... I tend to set all my poll times into hours and do a manual update if needed.
I generally run 2-4% drain/hour on 4.7.0.148. Same as the past several builds. Difference in the OS hasn't changed my battery life in a while... However, applications heavily affect it for me and I'm very quick to dump apps that will constantly hold data connections open.
and did you do your battery pull or two after loading .148? Some people recommend a minimum of three battery pulls after upgrading an OS before attempting to use it for any length of time.
That makes no sense what so ever... why would that help at all, and 1 battery pull would be enough, why 3? lol
my battery is draining rapidly again today with .148...the back of my phone is hot as all **** as well...what is all this talk about the new radio for the storm? Will it improve battery life?

you have a bad battery....i'd suggest you call your carrier and have them replace it...
