Is .103 "the one" for anybody else here?

- .99 and .103 have been great. Either one would do as an official release.
I still think the whole thing should be quicker and smoother. I have my system crash once with .103. But it still beats .75.02-14-09 08:24 PMLike 0 - .103 is the one for me. I have UNREAL battery life and EVERY app works perfectly for me. Weatherbug works lightning fast and I don't have to activate BBmaps navi to get it to work like I had to with .99. I can even forward MMS messages with no issues. I'm getting over 3 days battery life on a single charge. I unplugged my phone this morning at 6AM and at 9:40PM it reads 90% life left. I don't use BB messenger so I never had a freezing issue besides on .90 when it would freeze 10 times a day. I would stamp this OS as official. I've never been happier with this phone until now. My browser is a little slow for some reason but I really don't use it that much so it doesn't bother me much.02-14-09 08:42 PMLike 0
- I was thinking about it, the ONLY bad thing I can point out with .103 is the BBM freeze, which happens in every OS build. Other than that, this seems like THE stable OS for me. The one where I can just kick back with and wait for the official OS update.
The accelerometer, browser, camera, and all that jazz are quick and fine to me. The battery life has been just as good as the others, there's no more VSOD and I havent experienced any random freezes. I feel like I'm totally fine letting this OS ride out until the official one happens with no real complaints!Couldn't agree more. It is the most stable so far and now the Storm is a lot more fun! The screen switches are really fast, the accelerometer finally works the right way, and I haven't experienced any battery degradation. I can keep this one for awhile until the official release comes out.
02-14-09 08:55 PMLike 0 - Tried 103,but had to many issue's like dropped calls an freezing an the battery went real fast all the time.....Back to .7502-14-09 09:31 PMLike 0

- .103 is..
-huge improvement over official 0.75 and glad I spent the time to upgrade.
-I'm not having many of the issues other describe. Battery about the same, lag is much better, video saving now works, camera is much faster (but could still be better), no reboots so far,
-typing letters seems more reliable (or maybe I'm just getting better)
-was not difficult to set up (just had to do a wipe of data and get the admin to give me a new password for the BES setup). This was my first BB beta upgrade.
-Missing features (when compared with my former palm 700p)". I find the text messaging clumsy when compared with the Palm (no grouped messages and ugly). I find it was easier to change calendar dates and text in the palm, but the BB adds some great features. However, there are many more other good things about it and stability while traveling for work is the main reason I grew annoyed with the palm.02-15-09 09:54 AMLike 0 -

1) Uninstall Slacker from the device
2) Battery Pull
3) Connect via USB and delete the Slacker folder from the device
4) Reinstall Slacker OTA
After that, I have able to stream endlessly. It pauses when I get a call, and I can re-start from where I left off when I am done. No freezing, reboots, or any other ill effects.
.103 has been solid as granite for me. Only minor quirk is the color depth issue, but I am sure they will work that one out.02-15-09 09:42 PMLike 0 - Never had this BBM freeze in any OS. That aside, there's the color depth issue, battery life, the memory leak, typing lag in general, and the severe typing lag in the browser that have to be dealt with before I'll stamp it.
Edit: i forgot to mention the lag after sending a text. its better in .103 but still eveident. and the lock is still unacceptable.
So yeah, .103 is no closer to being better in any real way...it's awful in so many ways just like the rest. The only good thing is that I've been getting less App Error 523 screens.02-15-09 11:56 PMLike 0 -
- My battery was also draining faster than previous builds. In 22 hours it went down to less than 20% with very moderate use (though I spent some hours in a low signal spot, and it seems to drain faster in those places). Then I decided to drain it completely. After that, it started to perform better. In my last charge, after 23 hours of also moderate usage (some browsing, a little more than one hour of playing music, a couple of emails and 35 minutes of phone conversation), it had 60%.02-16-09 12:36 AMLike 0
- It's definitely the one for me!!
.103 is definitely the best one so far and the phone should've been shipped with THIS software!02-16-09 12:36 AMLike 0 - .103 is solid for not many reboots on my phone, in fact no random ones. Music is much efficient yet sometimes the media card will not detect all songs.
Battery Life is (estimated) +40% better from .75... +20% from .85... would say about +10% better from .90 and about -20% worse from .99.
Just some lag with words and a few loading programs but all in the end its useable again.02-16-09 12:49 AMLike 0
