Blackberry Maps is awful compared to Google Maps.
I just installed Google Maps today after a buddy showing me how it was on his Bold compred to the Blackberry Maps program (which he deleted from his Bold also) and boy its a big difference in my opinion.
Seems much more user friendly and easier to navigate with.
Anybody else?
Until you try using GPS with Google maps
Please advise if one can undo the installation of theYahoo roadmaps just in case one does not like it, and can the Balcberry version be reinstalled?

You can't use Google Maps with the storm just yet.
Where can I download google maps? I tried bb maps for the first time on the road today and it was terrible

I've been using Google Maps all day with the storm just fine. What are you talking about?
well you can use it, you just cant utilize the gps yet. It will be accurate to 800m (for me at least)
Google has to update their program to read the storm's gps. E-mails and posts have been sent so theres nothing we can do but wait.

My storm doesn't work with bbmaps gps... Only with vz nav
Right but GPS will work on it soon and its just a much better looking program than Blackberry Maps.

I don't know if they'll ever do a fix for Google Maps. I'm sure VW doesn't want them too, because that will take away from their VW Navigator.
can you delete blackberry maps? i highlight it and try to delete, but the option isnt there..
yup, got rid of bb maps.. google maps is what its about. and all u people with storms... just chill. it takes developers time to make an update for new devices....remember when the bold came out and google maps didnt work... now it does cuz they released an update a little while after the bold came out.
You can delete it from Options->Advanced Options->Applications
I did and im proud of it
