I know there are no proven hardware differences between Storms made in Canada versus Mexico and between models PRD-19502 and PRD-21009, but......I'm wondering if certain models and/or assembly locations are more prone to hardware issues (screen click, dead pixels, dust in screen, etc.)

Having personally gone through 5 total Storms now (over 2 lines), I finally have 2 Storms with no hardware issues. Both happen to be PRD-21009 - one made in Canada, one made in Mexico. I know it's a tiny sample size and perhaps just coincidental, but thought I'd see what type of experience everyone else has had with various models.

Mines a Canadian 19502 built on Dec 18th with issues. The buttons are awesome, gap around the screen is smaller than my dad's, but the clicking is really bad on the bottom and I've got the blue-shifted screen. I could try the screw fix for the click, but I really hate the screen in comparison to the warm one. Screen brightness is worse at lower settings than the warm screen, and dark greys/skin tones have a noticeable blue tint to them.

I'm probably going to replace it at Verizon and tell them my screen doesn't click well at all. Hopefully I can turn it on in the store and check to make sure the screen is better.

A little trouble with click screen at corners but torx screw trick dramatically improved that. Hoping the replacement is 21009!

i hear you. we've had one 21009 for a month and the other for 2 weeks and neither have had any hardware issues at all.

now that we have more units out there and people have had more time with them, i thought i'd throw this poll out there again.

basically want to see if any builds are more likely to have hardware problems (e.g. screen click issue, dust under screen, dead pixels)

btw, both of my 21009s are still going strong...
