The pics I have seen show made in Mexico. I don't know if that means the whole phone or if it was just that part.

Ya, I don't care what the pics posted so far show. I know it states Mexico. Bottom line is BBs are either made in two places. Canada and Mexico. In the past the initial releases on launch have always been ALL Canada and a few months later the stock coming in is from Mexico factory that RIM offshores to. That's the point behind this thread. With some quality control issues already coming up I see that as an oppertunity to find out if location of assembly is a possible link. I also want to know if RIM has moved all initial new handset production to their Mexico offshore facility, because that's just a sign of things to come for future handset designs and quality issues.

There is a factory in Hungary to cater to the EU market; I guess they're busy building other models...all the Storms in the US are probably made in Mexico...some might be from Canada, if you're lucky lol

I would definitely prefer it be made in Korea over Mexico and day of the week and twice on Sunday.

    Mine was made in Canada.

Ok here's a good question, if RIM is based in Canada as we all know it is, WHY haven't they gotten the Storm yet?

I asked this very question a month ago, and everybody was saying "who cares?" Now, everyone seems to understand that Canada, with people working with pride for real wages, makes a difference. I'm hoping mine is made in Canada when it arrives tomorrow.
