I see that the true statement of history repeats itself is alive. Each new Berry that comes out, the same questions will be asked all of the time. They have done it with the Bold, Curve, and now the Storm.

I was going to say 2525, so your release date is a little better.

Its too bad OS .82 had that bug they found at the last minute. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many negative comments. You can bet there will be several updates soon.

Isn't that the same person that said it should ship with mid to high .7?

He can't control what VZW does...

it was supposed to ship with 4.7.0.82, but Verizon fux0red up in their testing at the last minute and had to downgrade to 4.7.0.65. Crucial wasn't wrong, he just didn't anticipate the issue that Verizon faced at the last second.

Where is the proof of that? I'm not looking for more assumptions, I'm looking for facts.
BGR clearly states that none of that information was confirmed, if that's your source.

Crucial is the source. His info has been damn near 100% accurate. However, this was a last minute change that VZW made after he reported that the OS was suposed to be in the .7x range. CX > BGR any day.

Just so that you all know in here. Crucial_Extreme is most often THE SOURCE of information regarding releases and updates. He has been consistently right or near right many times over many months. He is limited in the information that he can divulge because he has signed an NDA. Sometimes this is frustrrating for some members. That's just the way it is. Take it from me, the man knows. He just cant say all he knows every time, that's all.

OS updates are random events. They are sometimes official, often they are simply betas. You take your chance if you install a beta OS. It might work well and it will certainly have some bugs but you will probably get some extra featres and functionality. S'what makes it fun.

Actually I've been told by multiple VZW reps (technical and customer service) that there will be an update soon....even before I got a chance to play with it they told me that.

I'm thinking if it's anytime this month it'll be the 25th/26th, when the first wave of orders start arriving.

well if you have to have proof,i guess the sticker on the box is pretty good proof.

Peel back the label on your box... underneath you will see the sticker for version .82. That's how we know Crucial was right!

I peeled back my label on the box and it shows .86. So what really happened? Was the security flaw that bad that it affected multiple versions?
