Anyone that has a storm now obviously has the .65 OS. When will the update for .82 come out? The only thing that is wrong with my storm is occasionally the accelerometer will not switch to landscape, but as soon as i restart the phone it works again. hopefully this problem will be taken care of in the upcoming update.

I doubt we will see .82 my friend..

Expect to see something higher than .82 even in the .90s. And maybe not even this coming week or very late into the week.

yeah that's the word...there has bee na understanding EVEN BEFORE the storm came out that the update was going to help a lot and would be reasonably quick to come out

do you have the current os or did you downgrade like many folks (including myself) when i downgraded i didn't have the option but then i upgraded back to platform .82 and i have the option now

I would believe that the software would be released soon because people will start to use there 30 day return policy. So i assume within 30 Days.

Does anyone have these problems???? (I have only had phone for 1 day)

1. Accelometer sometimes doesnt work

2. Unit sometime lags

3. The unit reset on me once when receving a call

4. Right lower corner on screen by send key has really no click but just kinda push hard to make a selection.

5. When i used 4.7 Desktop software and connected it told me there was an update for core application 7 and help and when it checked and went to update screen it said i have the latest. Did this twice...

Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book > then Delete Provisioning [OTASL] and undelete several times. Wireless Update should now be an option.

You know, I've been wondering.
How would an OTA OS upgrade be possible?
You cannot use the 1gb internal flash nor an external card to save or run programs and the internal RAM is not enough to store an installer for an OS, which is quite large.
You have to store it first before you can install, since you cannot install an OS from a server if the device is not running an OS which connects to that server.
Any ideas on this?

Yah its possible its on your phone...... go look under options advance options and it will be at the very bottom it will say wireless update , if it dosent you need to go to option , advanced options , service book , highlight provisioning [otasl] click delete , undelete ... do this about 5 times .. then exit out go back to advanced options scroll to bottom and you will see wireless updates.
