    New to the Crackberry site, i know it's prob a lame and stupid question, but what internet browser does Blackberry use on their phones? (IE, Opera, Mozilla, etc.)??? Thanx

    They use their own proprietary browser, but opera mini and a few others can be loaded onto it.

    Blackberry browser, default.

    you can install opera which is 3rd party browser.

    blackberry has their own that they load on by default. A lot of us (ok me) are anxiously awaiting Fennec!

    Blackberry Browser is the default.....but u do have an option for rendering pages in IE & Firefox

    click ur Browser Icon, then click the BB Menu button, select options, select Browser Configuration, then u can change Browser Identification to BB, IE, or Firefox

    False. You do not render pages in IE or Firefox. All that the browser identification option does is allow you to spoof the user agent string.

    I wish people would stop spreading this kind of bad information.

    I'll choose my words more carefully....

    Browser options
    Change display options for web pages
    1. In the browser, press the Menu key.
    2. Click Options.
    3. Click Browser Configuration.
    4. Perform any of the following actions:
    • To view background images, select the Use Background Images check box.
    • To change the browsing experience, change the Browser Identification field.
    5. Press the Menu key.
    6. Click Save Options.
