Man my family and friends are sick of hearing about this phone from me lol ... i have 2 bosses, 1 has a new G1 and the other has an iPhone and they both swear that backberry is just going to fail because iphone is far too superior ... we debate daily lol
but if this phone flops, im going to feel like the biggest tool! i should have QUIETLY hoped for the phone ... instead, every single person i run ino im like "oh you heard about the new storm coming out? supposed to be amazing, i cant wait to get it when its released, blah blah blah"
i think i will buy the storm, and if it flops i will be packing my stuff and heading for mexico where nobody knows me LOL!
If it sucks then everyone is S.O.L. hehe.... That's why I'm glad Verizon is getting it before Tmo gets the GSM version. I wanna see what kind of issues there are with it, and if it's going to be all it's cracked up to be. If so, then I'll be getting one in 09'.
I guess it depends on your idea of what "sucks" is. I personally think the Treo is good only for leveling a table that is wobbly. However, a lot of people think they're great.
If you get the Storm, and love it, forget what others say. It's YOUR phone, not theirs anyway.
If it sucks tell people it didn't meet your expectations.. nothing you can really do about it...
If I don't like it I'll simply return it for a Curve. Either way I'm walking away with a Blackberry...
Thanks the good lord for the 30 day trial thing. However, I'm with you, I've hyped the he ll out of this phone to everyone I know...not sure why...just making the line longer. Anyway, my wife thinks I have lost it! I'm on CB every day, all day looking for new info. She catches me watching Storm videos over and over. I feel ashamed as if it were porn! How sad!!!
^ from the tapping on the screen or what? Becuase I'm sure you can silence it or adjust how loud you want it. Like on the Pearls you can control how loud the "click" is on your trackball (I think?)... Hopefully they'll have the same option, if it's as "advanced" as they're saying!
I wouldn't say it will suck. Blackberries in general do not suck, except the Pearl. I will be waiting for some real world users out there to post some real reviews. One things for sure if that loud click is there I won't get it.
I think I will be waiting for the 2nd Gen to come around though.

Well if the click is coming from the phone, when you press the screen, how can you silence it?
It's funny how many people here have a similar story. Just last night I was on the phone with my daughter and started talking about it and she was like, "I hope it comes out soon too" implying she was sick of hearing about it Oh well...
My only concern is the 'click'. Will it be too loud and annoying.
same here. hopefully it will have a control to turn it off. lolol...it actually could be really funny to watch people get annoyed at just look at you. just thinking about that gives me major LULZ
It will definitely not suck. If I want something that sucks, I'll take my vacuum cleaner :P
I think the click will not be that loud as some are scared it will be. The only video I really heard it click in was the video with the weird bald guy :P
I honestly think that there saying the screen "clicks" down like a button. I doubt it actually makes a "clicking" sound. If so then yea, i could only imagine you would be able to turn it on/off. Also In all the reviews I watched and read, I don't think they mentioned actually hearing a "clicking" sound. Just my thoughts. "click" "click" "click"
