Instead of Silent shouldnt it say Silent except for Contact RingTones?

Phone is set to Silent, but Contact Ringtones still ring loud and clear!

    Anyone got any suggestions?

same with my phone. an anomoly (sorry for the trek term) exists with the vibrate as well.

my ringtones are squirrely too; anybody texting me who is not on my contact list gets the ringtone from the first person alphabetically listed on my contact personal ringtones list. wierd.

Known Bug that hopefully will be fixed in a future OS release.

Infact I seem to recall someone telling me it has been fixed in/prior to .99.

I haven't tested it because I way back in .65 created a custom profile that has everything vibrate with silent volume. That solved the issue for me and I have been using it ever since when I need my phone to stay quiet

    Isn't it wonderful...

I found out that "silent" isn't really silent while sitting in a movie theater.

I made a sound profile that is set to "vibe" with all other sounds off and it works great. Took me a while to figure out how to make a new sound profile tho. (never scrolled down that far)

Yeah it can be painful at times. Sitting in court and it goes off. Gosh the judge was looking around, but I was faster at pulling the battery than they were at finding the noise

This does not appear to be an issue in .99 anymore. Take that for what it's worth.

Silent means your storm wants you to be Silent so when it wants to make noise you will hear it!

I think you may have figured out their logic!

If you create a custom profile, with Silent settings for everything, it works fine. Kind of a work around, but for meetings, etc., you really have to have a Silent that works. I pretty much made several custom profiles so I know exactly what the Storm will do.

Silent means that the beatch shuts her trap when you tell her to.

How about just shutting the phone off for true silence? This would be more appropriate for movie theaters, etc.

How about when I'm at work and with a client and I don't want my phone to ring but still want to know if anyone calls?

I haven't had this issue. I have my phone on vibrate 90% of the time, it has yet to ring.
