Idk what happened, i didn't drop it or install anything new. It just decided that it wasn't gonna work anymore for no reason. I tried a battery pull and nothing. any ideas?
The vibrate device is a small DC motor with a counter weight on the shaft. As it's a mechanical moving part it is subject to a variety of possible failure scenarios.
If the OS wipe/reloading didn't fix it, I would seek warranty/insurance. Otherwise you are looking at a costly repair or replacement.
The more hands on savvy people here may know how to tear down the Storm to get at the motor, maybe you can un-stick or R&R it to save money.
