I have a 9530 and run the offical .148 and everytime I am listening to media ( Pandora ) restarts songs or videos pause when the emails get pushed. This is crap ! How do I still get the over two hundred plus emails and notifications per day and still enjoy the media seamlessly? No one seems to have an answer. Pin me if you can 305786B7

From what I understand, this is a bug in Pandora. It happens to me too, and I'm not on .148. The only way to bypass this is to put the e-mail notification on silent

getting over 200 audible notifications a day would make it really annoying for me, I'd have put it on silent long before ever running into the Pandora problem

Just put notifications on silent and check your emails from time to time.

It's not the volume it is the freezing of the media or restarting of media that drives me batty... always ruins a great song to hear it restart three or four times

First this isn't an issue with Verizon, issue is 100% Pandora. And like everyone said if you put your alerts to silents and/or vibrate (i believe) your songs will not be interrupted and start over. This is a known work around for the problem.

Bug is supposed to be resolved in v1.0.4 according to Marc at Pandora who post regularly in the 3rd party apps forum about Pandora.

if you listening to your phone, you're probably close to it, just put it to vibrate...if you dont feel it, the blinking red light will probably catch your eye also.

This is what I do when I use Pandora or Slacker. Not the best solution, but it works.

As discussed, set your notifications to silent (i.e. no tone) and you won't have this problem. Problem solved, case closed.

It's not only a Pandora problem; it's also a problem in Slacker.

Yes. Vibrate works for me. Doesn't interrupt my song and I still know when emails come in.

This is not just a Pandora problem, this happns to me when I am playing a song stored on my memory card. Likely turning off the audible notificaion will solve your problem.

it's not just Pandora, it does this to me as well on Slacker. Getting a SMS, MMS, or e-mail and it restarts what was playing

Wouldn't that be a BlackBerry problem and not a Verizon issue? Anyways, I had the same trouble and solved it with email alert on silent.
