    Should I Restore the data in the "old" S1 Backup file to the S2?

    If u want all your contacts, info etc on your new Storm2 then YES.

    Definitely want contacts, calendar, etc. Would the Restore feature move 3rd party apps or will I have to put them back one by one?

    Yes u can do 3rd party apps as well.

    I'm not sure how purchased ones switch over. I don't have any purchased. I'm sure somebody will answer that..
