    Hi...
    I unlocked it.
wanna sell it, but wanna make sure it's useable so I tried my daughter's SIM card (Bell) and then my husbands Rogers SIM card.

Tried to make a call and with both SIM cards, I received a recording saying I had to call Bell...

    Connection...
    Bell SIM card read SOS.
Rogers was connected, but still gave me the recording to call Bell or my provider.

    Yes...
    Mobile network to GSM/UMTS
did mepd, mep2, code accepted, Network inactive...

    Would love your expertise...anyone...anyone?

    anything else I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance.

Bell sim card will not work... The Rogers SIM should work when you either put it to GSM or GLOBAL. .. If you said when your type MEPD in options>advanced>simcard .. and you say it's inactive, I don't know what to say ...

    Thanks for the reply...

Rogers worked when I changed the mobile setting.

    Just wondering...

Why won't the bell SIM card work if it was initially with Bell?

    Thanks again.

There are two SIM cards bell has:

    1. GLOBAL ROAMING SIM - can be only used overseas with European GSM providers.

    2. HSPA SIM - This is the 3G+ sim card they introduced in November with the joint venture with Telus. The 9530 does not support HSPA, only GSM that why Rogers or Fido will work.

    Your welcome.
