I have a symbol I have never seen b4 right under the date on the storm. its a circle with an arrow pointing diag/left with a red astrick on the top r/side of the circle. there is a 1 right to the left of the circle. anyone know what this is and how to remove it?

yes, its telling you there is an update to an app you downloaded on app world. Have a look in your message folder. Should list the app there.
