I have grown tired of waiting for Verizon to release something to take .75's place and will be upgrading myself this weekend and was looking to get some input into what people think is the best choice to make as there are so many. Look forward to the responses and thanks in advance

.132 was solid for me. I'm on .141 with the .132's lock feature.

I would suggest you try OS .141 People on the forum seem to enjoy it for the most part.

122 for me, had it ever since it came out as a leak beta os.

Tried 131, I did not like it, (my storm froze twice on a 24 hour period) and 141 one has a share of its issues.

Tried all the different OS's and hybrids and finally settled with bbcrackmans V5.1 .141. So far its the best for me as far as stability and memory.

.132 hands down. Never froze up or self-rebooted since I installed it. Even a touch faster than .113.

The only bug that I have to deal with is the same erroneous sound profile problem which has yet to be fixed (don't know why).

Memory self- recovers over time so the leaking isn't much of a problem... Rarely dips below 19 mb, once it hit 11.

IMHO it should have been VzW next official. Furthermore I read too many complaints about .141 so I reckon I will stay right here.... And am content to do so.

Try .132, feel the euphoria, and come back and talk about it.

    132 is definitely my recommendation

im liking the 141/5.0 hybrid, but wouldnt recommend it to a newbie... so i say 132 is a nice solid and easy choice

I suggest you start with the latest OS release. Install it. Use it. If you experience problems, downgrade to the previous release. Repeat process until you find an OS you're comfortable with.

I actually bit the bullet this week and downloaded an upgraded to OneofakindPC's hybrid version. (had been on .75 since upgrading when it first came out and I have an originall day of release storm).

I'm very happy with the change. and the upgrade was not a big deal.

I agree with .122, though to use it you will have to change java folders if you have Verizon. I just went back after trying for several days lyricidals hybrid.

No, I am tired or waiting for .141's replacement. It's been about two weeks- time for a new leak already.

Or how about I am tired of waiting for 4.7's replacement. It's about time for a 5.0 leak for the Storm.

Went with the .132 patch as people here and in other posts gave it a pretty good review. Only issue I had was after upgrading my browser kept saying it was unavailable. After a battery pull (or possibly 2) all was well and it appears to be working just fine. Will probably stay with this for a few weeks and continue to review other OS leaks for new improvements.

I'd suggest the iPhone 3.0 OS when it comes out in July.

I am using OOAK's v3 hybrid. Works very well. Screen transitions are wonderful. No lag in keyboard even while in the browser. Boots up with 54mb free and haven't seen it dip below 44 yet. Also recovers memory very well.

To be honest, I too am getting a little tired of VZW's inability to push out an update sooner.

They took their sweet time when releasing a 4.7.0.xx build and now they can't release a 4.7-based update anymore since it would be pointless because development was stopped with RIM and now are focusing on getting 5.0 polished and pushed out the door.

Sometimes I feel that VZW looks to these forums for bug reports. I mean really, why does it take weeks to realize an MMS bug or a phone locking issue when the users here on the forum found it here within hours..?

Also, I hope the leaks become more frequent as they are with other BB devices.

I was skeptical to say the least of loading a leaked OS on my BB, but I i did and wish I had done it sooner. I started with .113 then went to .132 and now run .141 and out of all of them I like the >141 the best. I decreased the lag, increased browser speed, phone works the best it ever has(others swear by the .132 phone) To be honest I haven't had a problem with it and I have been running it since it came out. Even though all the BB's are built the same, some BB's don't do well on some OS's where other do.(go figure)
You might just have to load one on and see how it works for you and try another if its not what you want. GoodLuck! I hope it works out for you.
