As the title asks.... Is there a way to force the browser to default to column view instead of page view for every page that you load?

I found that I am able to setup bookmarks to automatically display in column mode but after I click a link from that bookmark it defaults back to page mode.

I am new so if I am missing the painfully obvious please don't flog me.
