I just got my storm...it's on the .65...about to update, but got a question.

I made my initial sync last night...2036 calendar entries...took about 45 minutes.

Now when I go to sync just to update my new appointments I've added, it wants to go back through and do all 2036 again...how do I change it so it only looks for changes? I'm a windows mobile guy so the Desktop manager is new to me.

That said, I love this phone so far. I've had it about 18 hours and it's just a great piece of technology. This is even without the new OS update.

Thanks for your help. Sorry if this was posted...I searched through some pages and didn't see anything.

Good question, I noticed same problem. Seems unnecessary. Also, too bad phone app does not support labels.

I had the same issue and I went in and deleted all my old entries. Sucks, but no one was able to help me when I posted the same question. There has to be an answer.

    Anyone??

my calendar is Novell Groupwise. Like I said, it tries to sync all 2000 appointments every time. Any insights?

Good question. I never thought about it as a problem because my BES auto deletes all of my appointments that are older than 90 days.

I've got the same problem (over 9900 calendar entries). Can anyone suggest a workable solution?
    Thanks.

I think I found a solution to this problem. If you minimize the Desktop Manager during the synchronization process, the sync works MUCH faster.
    Try it out.

I had a somewhat related issue with Lotus Notes, only mine was that Desktop Manager would die when trying to import a couple of thousand entries.

I finally had to go into Notes and delete all of the calendar entries older than 60 days. Not ideal from a business standpoint when I might need to go back and see when a customer meeting happened a couple of months ago.

I anticipate that I will have the problem you guys mentioned once my calendar builds up again - it looks like Desktop Manager is still sorting through the old ones every time.
