half of these symbols dont even show on my browser all it shows it a box and im using safari......what a terrible browser. im gonna get IE running.

I have an 8900 and before I upgraded to OS5, all of these symbols would show up. After the upgrade none of them would show up anywhere, e.i. the browser, BBM, emails, etc. What happened and is there anyway to switch the settings so that they would be viewable again?

Cut and paste from this post into an email to yourself.
Then open and save somewhere on your phone - in notes or a draft email.

Advanced: You could put them in an Autotext entry that will appear whenever you type (e.g. you type "?star" or whatever phrase you specify and Autotext converts to [ ★ ] (star solid).

I have spent countless hours searching the Internet for the one and only symbol I really want - the peace symbol (and not the two fingers deal - the circle with the lines in it) - to no avail. I am wonder why it doesn't exist anywhere. I have found a couple of them but they translate into little black boxes when I copy/paste and email them to myself. Even the one I found here @CB - I can't seem to get it onto my phone.

What's up with that?

Thank you so much for your help - but my phone still cannot "see" or save the symbols on it.

Of the top example (on my phone) I see the symbols as tiny black boxes. My phone also "sees" the numbers.

Of the screener example my phone can see everything (symbols and numbers, but it cannot save the images).

Sad thing is even when u can view em and put them on your bbm. Others cant alwaysbsee them it looks like a black box. Something ive noticed. Why is rim so backward. Hope they release some real hd symbols one day.
