yeah that is strange. seems we are always behind now adays on the releases. maybe they know we complain about EVERYTHING and they have to release elsewhere for testing... etc...

a lady on the phone told me release date in uk is 17th this morning,
just phoned up to confirm my bold being picked up tomo between 9-5, and theys said they are delivering my storm at the same time!

I believe Vodafone had opted to go with a earlier OS version to get sales started. VZW opted to wait on a better OS build before launching. Of course updates to the OS will probably be rolling out like hotcakes over the next few months.
It is going to be a jamn packed week.First the 18th of this Month Left 4 Dead first FPS Zombie shooter for the xbox 360 comes out and now the release of the storm. Damn its going to be a **** of a week of clicking and headshots.
