Wow, just now?
(btw, that link appears to have been a temporary page - it doesn't work for me)
Try it now, or click https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/...ericSearch.cfm
and enter "Research in Motion" under Applicant Name
and enter "10/21/2008" under the Grant Date Ranges
Nice!
But you think it would have been approved a few months back.
It had probably been approved for a long time. The confidentiality agreement prohibits the FCC from releasing any information for a certain period of time.
Probably, but they also can't sell the device until the confidentiality is lifted and the FCC makes the approval public. Now RIM and Verizon have the green light and can sell the Storm anytime now

whats with the 12/4/08 date on there?
That is strange. The FCC lifted its short term confidentiality on the Pearl Flip the day it was announced as available on T-Mobile.
October 22nd launch as some have suggested? Can only hope we get something solid tomorrow.
The 12/4 scares me!! Please don't let this drag into December!!
