Can I use my Storm in my Mustang to play music by plugging it in to the "line in" jack somehow?

Yes, I do it all the time in both my Expedition and Focus. I also stream slacker and iheart as well while I am on long trips.

I stream pandora in my focus all the time. I think you would need a usb.. The one that comes with your phone should work but I haven't tried.. if you have a usb port that is. I'm not sure the cable you'd use.

I use bluetooth audio stream with sync with pandora an slacker......its sweet but you can use a male male stereo 3.5 if you prefer....bluetooth audio works well....press speech button and say"bluetooth audio" and bam! I use it in my 2010 ford fusion

I also stream my music library copied onto my storms memory card via bluetooth. Works fairly well, no song info on the sync screen though. To answer the OP the Sync system in my 2008 Explorer and my Storm work great together. Best phone I ever used with it as a matter of fact.
