start the clock, hit the BB button, choose options. now scroll down to the bedside mode group. Disable the LED, Radio and choose yes for dim the screen. Save it when you exit. Now it will do this everytime you plug in a charger.
5.0 does give you those options that you are all speaking of. i currently have 5.0.0.230 on my storm and bedside mode is the best! you can even choose that time of day u want bedside mode to activate as well. i dont know if this will work or not but here are the COD files if anyone wants to try loading those on the storm running 4.7 and see if they work. Let me know if it works.
I think I've had enough of swapping software for the moment, but out of curiosity, do custom themes work with 5.0, including message tones / display?
The above solution of not setting the clock to dim, has been brilliant for me, aside from the BB rebooting 2 out of 3 times when I enter Bedside Mode, but that's a different problem.
