Please forgive me, but this is my first BB. I have Verizon so my last three phones have all been Palms(Treo700wx last one).
One of the best features on that phone was the speed dial from the main screen. Most of my calls go to about 10 numbers, so I was seeing if there was an app or something that I could do so those numbers are on the main screen(ie press a folder and it dials). Any help would be great. I know there is probaly something easy that I am overlooking, thanks for the help.

When you bring up phone pad for dialing numbers if you press and hold a number it will dial the number associated to that number you just pressed and held. Really simple.

is there any way than having to remember 5 is for John. I have some employees that I have to call alot and i have a hard time rembering if tom was 4 or Heather was 4

There's a guy over in the 3rd party apps forum that's in the process of making something like what you're thinking of. He's making quick progress and he seems super talented. Let me see if I can dig up the link. Last I saw it was still in its early phases.

yeah seems like that would helps alot because even with my curve. i sometimes forget who some letters are for.

The only problem would be accidental dialing. You'd have to remember to lock the screen before pocketing.

i think with the lock feature at the top of the phone i would not have to worry about it so much. but i did call a few random times with my treo. Thanks for all the help trying to locate this. I think if I can find this app/feature i would be complete
