    Just like any other battery they will lose charge when not in use, it will just be slower than when using it. I'm not sure on an exact time though.

    FWIW, I hadn't used my spare in about three months and when I put it in a couple days ago the battery meter showed full charge. I did not check the actual percentage though...

    I have three batteries I exchange. I have had them set for 4 - 6 weeks after full charge without any drain.
