i was running .109 and here is what i did to fix mine
headed out to my nearest att dealer and got a new sims card as mine was about 6 years old they GAVE me a new one installed and works fine
were you using a business card to help the click issue?
I did and the way I had it in there it pushed on the metal and my sim card wouldn't read. So I pulled out the business card and cut a little piece off and put it between the metal and the back of the sim card and it is snug in there now and it worked.
I found a solution and thought that it would be useful to post my solution up here since we never got any response.
What's going on is the sim card is loose in the Storm, in fact the AT&T 3G sim card is slightly thinner than a T-Mobile sim card.
Anyway, just slide the sim card in with a piece of paper and the your Storm should be up and running now...

No it will remain locked. I had the same problem after getting a new sim card. The new one was slightly thinner than the old so I used two sheets of paper to apply pressure and make the card fit snugly.
