Any thoughts on whether it's possible/likely for future software upgrades (no hardware swapping) to:

1. Provide a full keyboard in Portrait Mode, and/or

2. Provide an option for single-touch typing vs. pressing the screen "button"?

If there was a good chance of both of these happening in the future, I'd go out and buy one right now.

Really no way of knowing at all, only daydreaming . RIM is most likely going to fix the bugs that are presently there before introducing new things, though.

yeah there will be idk just guessing but 30 + more releases before anything new is added lol. but i like full qwerty key in portrait mode , i would like a new method for viewing the letter the blue hover is not working .... you cant see what your typing .. it needs to pop up .. like .. yes the iphone .

i agree with the blue glow around the keys, its very hard to see especially when you use your thumbs, something needs to change.

I think that's why, IMO, it would best be an option. Just like an option to not have to press the screen button for it to type. Happiness for all!
