    I'm having the same problems with receiving aol email. Sometimes they come in spurts. I just received an email on my bb at 5:15 that was sent at 3pm. Thanks for your help.

    my aol mail doesnt work nearly as fast as my gmail or bb addresses which are near instant...and thats if it even works at all, i think im just gonna get rid of the aol address, i had it forever but their web based mail is horrible compared to gmail

    I'm still having slow e-mail moments...sometimes 2-3 hours

    other times...2-3 mins...I don't get it.

    I spoke with Verizon who referred me to RIM. The tech rep said the issue is with AOL. There is a glitch in the new mail indication generated by AOL. Sometimes it will not notify the BIS server of a new e-mail. So the 5th new e-mail in your account, for example, will trigger the BIS server and it then downloads the entire lot.

    They claim to be working on it

    AOL sucks, I quit using them on my last smart phone because of this same issue. I finally realized that AOL is a joke and really back in the dark age, IMHO of coarse..
