My Storm has consistently been going bonkers with the signal strength while sitting at home, in front of my pc, not moving. It will jump from 4 bars to 1 bar, from 1XEV to just 1X and back and forth constantly.
Then at other times, it stays at a consistent 1XEV with 3 bars...
Browsing speed also seems to be affected by this.
Is anyone else having the same problem? I can't figure out if this is due to my location and the possibly poor reception, or a bug on the phone that needs to be addressed?
my bars go up and down a lot but it does not seem to give me any issues. I can browse and use the phone without issue even when the bars are down to 1. I do not think it is the actual signal but more a bug in the OS that says you have crap signal even when you don't. Just a thought anyway.
One of the posts here said they removed the VZW SIM card and it boosted their bars. You can try that.
