Is anyone able to search for contacts before placing a call in landscape mode?

When I turn mine the screen wont turn and I suck at typing with Sure type.

yea i can do it in landscape alot easier as i have almost crashed my car 2 times with sure type... sometimes you have to shake it like an 8 ball. Try pulling the Battery
