I still have my first storm that i got from verizon. The thing works great except i blew out my external speaker on the back. I was just wondering if its possible to replace the speaker myself. I think i saw a place online where i can buy a new one, but im not sure if the job is do-able or not. I just want to avoid getting a referb. thanks

the job is very easy. the speaker is one piece that comes out like a battery once you open the thing up. if you can't find the part. im considering selling my old storm for parts.

I would just take that guy into Verizon and have it swapped for a new one since its under warranty. I doubt it will be a refurb one, they dont usually do that with the PDA's til after a while.

Who knows if it's true or not.. there have been so many Storm returns int he first 6 months that I'm sure they have PLENTY of refurbs.
