It was fairly common in the earlier releases but has been substantially reduced in the newer builds. It hasn't been eliminated but this behavior has been markedly improved.

Well then that most definitely means you are running .75 or whatever os came with your phone. Try reading our storm os sub-forum and think about upgrading.

Okay - this is an issue that, unfortunately, I had a LOT of experience with. Sometimes it is software related, but it seems that sometimes it's just a bad phone. Here is my long story -

My first Storm worked great at first. It had OS .75. Of course it had most of the already known and well hashed quirks of that version of the software, but it rarely rebooted, and occasionally froze - but also not that often. It developed the well known "click problem". The usual fixes worked for a while - but then it just became unfixable.

Enter my SECOND Storm. This one had awesome click feel, and everything was responsive as can be, but had MAJOR reboot issues. It would reboot on an incoming call. It would reboot while making a call. It would reboot on an incoming message. It would even reboot just from being pulled from the holster. Not EVERY time any of those things were done - but probably happening anywhere from 2 to 5 times a day!. This was with OS .75, OS.104, OS.114, OS.113. The excellent screen response and click action kept me hoping that one of the software updates would solve the problem. Tried wiping, tried all kinds of versions, bat pulls, you name it. I finally gave up and...

Enter my THIRD Storm. This one worked great right out of the gate - came with OS.75, of course. Yes, same minor .75 quirks - but not a single reboot in days. Okay - load OS.113 and see what happens - no reboots in days. Okay - start loading up all kinds of third-party apps - NO REBOOTS. Have had this thing for weeks now - NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM. Same exact software - simply a different phone.

I'm telling you, this thing has had litteraly ZERO problems. I am finally experiencing what I should have from the start, and I am finally -enjoying- my Storm. Moral of the story? As much of a pain in the *** as it may be - if your Storm is having reboot issues, stop waiting for updates to fix it and ask your carrier for a replacement.
