No, the blackberry OS is not perfect.
Yes, it IS better than the iphone for many more tasks.
No, there might not be any more "leaks" but i don't care. Mine works just fine as it is. I've had it for over a year now and had NO problems. And now that Telus has its 5.0 dropped, im even MORE fine.
Yes, it IS an old phone now, so get over it and get a new one, or keep with it. I will Im getting my moneys worth

I agree. I dont bash other people for using inferior devices . So everyone thats bashing Berrys: dont use one, move on to whatever you want. Ive had a ton of berrys, including two 9530s and I liked them all-Im hard core Berry.......... period.

The only issue i really have is how weak app world is. The app store on the iphone is really not something you can beat. Free stuff galore. On my BB, the pdf reader i want costs 15 bucks! How is that fair? Any suggestions on how i can get a free/better one?

I just went straight to the blackberry site, clicked on the "upgrade" link and plugged in my storm. The 5.0 upgrade came up on my desktop manager, but it did say something about having some sort of account, so im not sure what that meant. Telus DOES have it though.

I agree completely, it also leaks memory which is the main reason I do not have it installed. I just install everything manually.

unfortunately I can't upgrade the Telus OS as I'm on BES. I love my storm but it's like running Win 95 when I could have Win 7. <pout>

agreed. the storm came out as a direct competitor to the iphone and it has failed at nearly, if not every, point. i honestly can't think of any way the storm is better than the iphone. and dont say surepress because i have a storm and the surepress sucks.
