I'm on the road in LA and I have a replacement storm coming tomorrow.

Can someone give me the basic procedure on how to switch over to the new phone?

Like...

- backup using DM
- activate new phone?

it will copy everything (settings, contacts, etc) except for 3rd party apps and any settings they have

i have a related question.

i used the device transfer function to go from my 8830 to my storm. it copied everything beautifully, but then i realized i needed to reactivate my e-mail accts. no biggie, did my personal and work email just fine.

now i noticed that now my personal email folder does not have any of my messages from the prior phone, the messages are only in the messages folder. Is there any way to get those 'old' personal messages into my personal email folder?
