Hi, I've had my Storm for less than a week and am generally liking it, but I have a problem with multitap keyboard in portrait mode. First, I went to the screen/keyboard option and selected multitap for the portrait keyboard. Problem is that it does not seem to work like the keyboard on a standard cellphone. For example, if I want the letter "p", I would expect to press the number 7 key three times in rapid succession. Instead, I get three characters, "prs" when I press the 7 key three times in rapid succession.

Oh, I'm running the .75 OS that came loaded on my phone.

What am I missing?

I made the same change thinking it would be the default. It doesn't seem to be. When you are in a message , select Options, and then click Enable MultiTap.
I don't know the change in the main Options section doesn't stick.

Thanks! That worked.
Pretty silly, though, that this doesn't work from the main options menu.
