ok go to install/uninstall programs make sure all old os's are deleted and only the 5.0.0.230 "actual" with exe is installed. then go to program files/common files/research in motion/app loader/ and delete the vendor.xml file then open loader.exe

Follow the same path he gave you. Disconnect from DM and use the app loader that comes with the install instead.

Make sure you back your phone up. And your 3rd party apps.

Had same problem on my phone, DM presents the 5.0.0.216 as having a preferred status for BB subscribers only.

According to help on BBHybrids.net forums, did the following:
    - uninstalled all BB OS in windows config
    - renamed the old OS folders under shared/loader files with short names,
    - wiped the storm with BBSAK.
    - installed the 5.0.0.216 without using Shrink-A-Os on PC
    - installed using the loader.exe instead of DM

This sequence worked in my case, and was reported as succesfull in other cases.

ok for billyarison go type in the ##000000 and configure ur number and all that good stuff. i believe its your [email protected]. I read that somewhere. Where a fellow tmobile user had the same problem and he did that and it worked.

Sadosdemetrios- make sure its on gsm not cdma, so check your settings.
