how can you tell which programs are running in the background..
having some serious battery drainage!!

Hold the BB button down for a couple of seconds.. The phone, browser, home and messages are always running in the background.

I believe there are four programs that are always open. Any more than that and there is something you can close.

I cannot get it to close as well, must be one that stays on as well.

If you go into app center and go to options, disable the automatically check for updates option or whatever it is. That'll close it.

Disable the auto refresh feature for app center and then do a battery pull. It will not run on startup from now on.
