I know I posted this in anouther thread, but I think the thread was aimed in another direction!

I had a i760, that had problems after the wm6.1 update (DATA wouldn't work in certin areas of the country) They replaced it with a xv6800(they got rid of the i760's) I am going to propose that the 6800 isn't a acceptable replacement!(IT'S NOT) Audio on it is HORRID(speakerphone, and earpiece/bluetooth)! It dosn't have voice command.....it has another app u have to train ur voice to, and it still dosn't work most of the time! The xv6800 is actually 170 bucks more expensive with a 2 year($419 with a 2 year) and I've only had it for 2 weeks. Do u think I can get them to do a replacement for the Storm?

P.S. The xv6800 was not my choice, just what they replaced the I760 with!

why not call them and just ask them? either that or just go to the VZW forum on here and ask one of the reps there and maybe you will have better luck with an answer. good luck!

    To answer that question "NO".

    A) This is a big release for Big Red and RIM.
    B) They will under no circumstances consider these phones in the same category just because one runs windows mobile and the other BB OS
    C) They may consider some type of credit towards you purchasing the Storm

They replaced the i760 with the xv6800 because they were in the windows mobile category, but as far as replacing that will not happen. (Windows Mobile for Blackberry)

Are you eligible for NE2 if so then i suggest trading xv6800 into blackberry trade up program and make atleast 40 bucks off the deal.

I had a cs agent tell me on the phone, wait till it comes out and they would take care of me(he said he noted it in the acct.). That was after I had the 6800 a week. Then about 3 days ago my data card started acting wacky, and I called in to have it replaced, and asked about it again, and this agent said he wasn't sure! I just don't think it is right being forced into a device that dosn't have all the features of the device I originally paid 400 bucks for........worst case I will add a line, and use my 100 dollar cert. on the storm.

yeah becaue they are two different phones!!! do you think it's right to replace nikes for adidas, honda for a lexus, 10 for a 20? look i'm not getting mad at you or anything like that you just had problems at the wrong time but verizon knows Blackberries have better track records than windows mobile. I'm comparing hardware/software to just software because if HTC phones came loaded with anything besides windows mobile they would be amazing. I had a xv6700 and 6800 to tell you the truth Blackberries are more stable and don't need half the hacks to work as a windows mobile device does. Look if you trade the xv6800 into Blackberry you can 144.78 dollars cash as soon as you ship the xv6800 in along with proof of purchase for the storm

It probablly dosn't matter, but it may. Between my 2 lines, and data card I pay like $250 a month before taxes. My bill is normally between 270, and 300 bucks a month.

I talked to a Supervisor, and they are letting me get it at the 2 year pricing. I have a 100 dollar vzw gift card comming, and then the rebate. It will cost me 100 bucks.
