So i want to use my storm as a modem with my laptop for an upcoming trip. I dont want to risk using tetherberry (unless they have a free trial ) however i have a few questions im hoping someone (or all) can help with. The reason im asking here is because im on .151 and dont know if i can call verizon while on this os. Do i have to downgrade then update with the phone to use pam? and how much does it cost and do you know if they will prorate the cost if i only use it for a weekend? thanks in advance

They add 15 on to your bill. And yes they will. But I use tetherberry and they haven't said anything

They dont care what OS you run so you should be ok. I dont think they can find out anyways, although i did hear of a rep once pulling information straight from the guys phone while he was on the phone with them and getting mad at him for running a leaked OS

actually it is 15 if you are paying 44.99 for your data plan or 30 if you are paying 29.99 for your data plan. basically the addition in price bumps up your data plan to what it would cost for an aircard.
