Previously paired with a Blackberry 8310. This displayed correctly on dashboard display Name and underneath Mobile Number.
Problem:
Backup was created from the 8310 and restored to the BlackBerry Storm 9500, however when I paired the Storm with the DB9's integrated phone system I get displayed two copies of the same number and no Name Display.
I then tried a BlackBerry Curve 8900 with the restored details and the same thing happend.
Both the Storm and the Curve are running V4.7 software.
Has the bluetooth transfer process changed from the 8310 to the newer handsets, if so, is there any way of using a 3rd party app to overcome this problem?
I don't believe that it has changed if anything I would like to think that ot got better. Is there a way to clear all previous settings out of the car? That could be the problem.

My experience with Gallardo is people complain about the engine noise. They say the engine noise is too loud and tell me to call back when I'm off the car.
(Too bad the Gallardo wasn't mine...)
I don't know about DB9 but on some of these so called supercars, you'll get a lot of complaints with engine noise. And of course, it applies to Civic driving 18 year olds too.
Did you try changing the device name of the storm? This could have been overwritten during the transfer. Go to setup->setup bluetooth->menu button->options. Then make sure that the device name is "storm" or whatever you want. This is the name that is broadcast to devices when connected over bluetooth.

Yes, this was changed to something other than the original one.
