I am currently running .132 on my 9530 and I would like to try the leaked .141. I have never done a "wipe" and I am curious exactly what the process is, or should I just let BB desktop manager upgrade it and not even fool with a wipe. Total confusion.
You can go ahead and try the leaked .141. Many users feel that the wipe is an unnecessary step when upgrading your OS. I personally have upgraded several times, and have yet to do a wipe.
Many would argue a wipe that includes all third party apps prior to an upgrade is best simply because it is a "clean" install. Personally I have upgraded multiple times and watched as DM backs up my databases and apps, wipes my phone, then installs the new os, finally it puts my databases and apps back on. Essentially doing the same thing as wiping before hand. I have never had a single issue with just upgrading. You can always wipe later as the os remains untouched.
