I am planning to install 5.0.0.230 onto my 9530, and I understand the install process, I just have a few questions.

I am assuming that installing the OS onto the Storm is sort of like a computer, in which it would be best to completely reinstall the OS. So a wipe and clean install would be best?

Also, after if I make a successful clean install of 5.0.0.230, would I have to reactivate my phone in order to make calls, texts, etc?

Ive never had to reactivate mine. And loading the OS will automatically wipe your storm for you. Some people wipe using BBSAK before they load an os everytime. I dont and Ive never had problems.

So I just follow the upgrade process on most uprgrade/install tutorials, and my phone should wipe itself?

Also will I have any problems with Windows 7 64-bit?
